T-R-O-U-B-L-E

I knew I was in trouble when I walked into Eloise's room this morning and found this:

8 Months

Where does the time go? I say this every time I do a monthly post...but it is hard to believe in 4 months my sweet little baby will be a YEAR old!
Oh my goodness...I can't even think about it!
Eloise you are the happiest baby ever.
I know everyone says that their babies are happy, but I'm for real.
You are SO happy.
You are also extremely vocal. extremely.
You just talk and talk and talk all day long. You have even started to form the words da-da. I've tried really hard to pretend like I can't hear it, but I can't deny it any longer. It's not just da....and then 10 seconds later another da...it's da da so close together.
Girl you can EAT! This little petite baby that I used to have, now has some thighs of STEEL!
oooo-weeee....You eat so much.
You LOVE food...especially honey nut cheerios, and this is really the only time that you cry...when you are hungry!
You still aren't quite crawling yet...you get up on all fours and rock back and forth and you might army crawl to certain places, but no real crawling yet.
You have started pulling up on things, and you love to stand outside of your jumper and just look around.
Oh goodness you love to clap! And how you love nature.
Being outside makes you so extremely happy.
You aren't much of a sleeper. It doesn't matter what time I put you to bed, you are up and at 'em between 6:30-7:00.
You nap during the day twice, but not for too long.
You love going to the grocery store and sitting in the buggy.
You are in LOVE with your big sister Gracie. We have to watch you and make sure yo don't pull at her hair all the time, but of course, Gracie is gentle with you.

My big girl after bath time. Little Miss Priss

things are constantly in our mouth these days

little smirk

she decided she would roll over and grab the paper

and our biggest accomplishment this month...
WE NOW HAVE TWO TEETH!!

Thank you Father that you are good, and that your mercy is everlasting. Psalm 100:5

Today before school started Walt sent me a link to a David Crowder video. The David Crowder Band is a Christian band and they are based out of Waco.... to say that they are our favorite Christian Band would not do them justice. They are amazing.
Little did I know that I would need this video today. Little did Walt know that I would need this video today as well.
Just watch the video, and listen to God's words.
Oh God...thank you for always knowing how to heal my heart.

Send me a sign
A hint, O whisper
Fill me with life
'Cause I am listening

Come break the quiet
Breathe your awakening
Bring me the light
'Cause I am fading

Surround me with the rush of angels' wings

Shine Your light so I can see You
Pull me up, I need to be near You
Hold me, I need to feel loved
Can You overcome this heart that's overcome?

You sent a sign
The hint, O whisper
Human, divine
Everyone is listening

Death laid low
Quiet in the night is stirring

All around the rush of angels

O the wonder of the greatest love has come

Shine Your light so all can see it
Lifted up, 'cause the whole world needs it
Love has come, what joy to hear it
He has overcome, He has overcome

Picture OVERLOAD

Why oh why is Miss Eloise so happy?
She's happy because she just found out that come May 4, 2011, she is going to be a
BIG sister!
That's right...we're....

To say we were shocked is an understatement. I have talked in previous posts how difficult it was for me and Walt to get pregnant with Eloise. After months and months of trying, we finally started fertility drugs and then had to go through insemination, twice.
After Eloise was born we were told that we would more than likely have to go through the same thing, since Walt and I both had issues that needed help.
Ok...I was still taking birth control though...
and then all of a sudden one day...
SURPRISE!
Talk about a HUGE blessing from God. It was major relief to know that we do not have to go through everything that we went through with Eloise.
So...come May we will have a 14 and a half month old, and a new baby.
We are overjoyed.
My brother and I are 13 months apart and I am so thankful for the relationship that we have.
I know this will be wonderful.
We figured since we told the facebook world, we should probably tell our blogging world as well.
I will go on ahead and say that this is why we have lacked in posting and doing things that we were supposed to do (Rathi, I have not forgotten about you.) After I found out I was pregnant..the all day sickness set in...and is still here. Hopefully it will leave soon. Poor Walt, he's been cooking once or twice a week, and he takes Eloise and Gracie on daily walks so I can sleep for an hour before dinner time. Gotta love him.

A lot has been going on around our house.
Last weekend we went up to Dallas to go to the Cotton Bowl to watch the Baylor/Tech game.
Before the game we stopped by our dear friends the Jodry's house to see their precious baby boy, Wells. Whitney and Max are wonderful parents, and even though Wells already has a ton of girlfriends, we know in the end...Eloise and Wells will end up together.
Here's Walt, so excited to be holding a boy.

precious baby

Then it was off to the Cotton Bowl to watch our Bears.
Unfortunately the game did not turn out in our favor, but...you can't win them all.
Me and my football partner, Sue.

The girls

My favorite football fan

Walt and our friend, Matt (Sue's husband) are die hard Baylor fans. I had to laugh when I saw these two old men. This will be Walt and Matt in 40 years....
still attending all the games

and of course, still "Season Ticket Holders"

Hey there Big Tex

Gambi (my momma) was sweet enough to watch Miss E during the game, so Walt and I could enjoy time with friends, and so she wouldn't be soooo hot. Once the game was over Gambi and Eloise came to the fair. My precious little girl....

Such a fun experience at the fair for the first time

We decided to take a little detour to the auto show...it was a little bit cooler, and
several people wanted to see Eloise.
Had to get in my kisses...I had been away from her for tooooo long!

Eloise playing with her new favorite toy...the travel diaper wipes.

Adorable

Clearly Aunt Poco did something to make her laugh...
she looks like a chunky monkey right here...
i love it.

And of course Lauren came by to see Eloise.
We love Lauren and her lunges. :)

Miss Cindy was at the game, and stopped by the auto show to get in some lovin'

Uncle Preston is so good at playing hide and seek with Eloise.
She loves him.

Eloise is still so fascinated by Pops' mustache.
She better get used to it...that thing made it's debut before her daddy was born almost 29 years ago...it's not going anywhere!

Uncle Tucker, of course, ran to the corvette...only 3 more years and this wild thing will be driving!

Eloise loves her Lalee...and she loves it when Uncle Tuck plays with her too!

After the auto show, it was time to walk around and experience the food and look at the rides.
She was quite the little trooper

Later that night, a parade actually came through....
This was what Eloise did during it...

Sunday morning before going home, Eloise showed Gambi that she is a big girl and can hold her bottle all by herself....

Look at her just sitting up

Gambi and E had some quality time before going back home.

On Monday, it was Columbus Day.
Did I have the day off like every other teacher?
NO. Katy ISD had professional development days.
Thankfully, one of my trainings ended at 3...so I picked up Miss E, and we played outside.

I should have graded these..
but I didn't....

This blog post is brought to you by the letter "O"

best.friends.

LOVES her piggy

Gracie=such a good, protective big sister

On Thursday it was a little chilly outside before we headed out the door for school...I had to snap a picture, but Eloise did not like it.
Look at that face.

This past Saturday we spent some more time outside, playing.

This was the face I got once I told Eloise we were about to go to the pumpkin patch

So, Saturday afternoon, me, walt and Eloise headed out to Dewberry Farms for our first pumpkin patch experience as a family....
LOVE Miss E's outfit.

SO excited to finally arrive

kisses from daddy are always the best

waiting on our first hayride to the patch

daddy and E inside the covered wagon

.hold on tight.

you can also get Christmas trees!

Eloise was more interested in the weeds

look at me...i'm 2 feet tall!

this is what the pumpkin patch did to her!

then on Sunday we decided to go on ahead and try on our Halloween costume..
that's the prettiest flower I've ever seen!

This weekend is Baylor homecoming! Can't wait to see old friends, and watch the parade!
I love football season!
