I so excited!

it's summer...
and I wish I could say we have been doing A LOT of this...

BUT, unfortunately, the Bass household, was struck, once again...
by the stomach bug..and we were down and out for almost 2 weeks.
HOWEVER...
we were completely fine and dandy just in time to go and visit our cousins that came in from North Carolina.
The last time Eloise had seen her cousins was 18 months ago...
so, this meant that Emerson had NEVER met them.
The ENTIRE car ride up to Dallas Eloise kept saying,
"I so excited to see Cousin Claire!"
"Momma, I so excited!"
Of course, she was excited to see cousin Jack, too...actually...that girl fell completely in love with him.. (something about her and "older" boys)
But she was SO excited to play with a GIRL... her COUSIN, her AGE!
Nichole was staying at a friend's house, so we packed up and went over there around9 in the morning and stayed and played ALL day.
WHAT a fabulous weekend we had. The kids had SO much fun together...
and I reveled every minute of it.
And of course, I had a grand ole' time chatting it up with my sis.
and I so appreciate Jessica...she let up sleep in her house, eat her food, play in her back yard.
This past weekend was perfect...
and I was so glad that Eloise was
"So excited"
I was "so excited" too!

Claire and Eloise, warming up to each other..
didn't take long for these two cuties to realize that they had tons in common
The big girls, walking to the park
so happy to be together
Uncle Walt and Jack, having a heart to heart.

"Here, Claire...here's your hat."
Eloise trying to show off to Jack and name all of her colors.
sweet cousins
WHAT? Sno cones!
What a treat!!
look at those two precious babies!!
ahhh...wish they could play together all the time!!
the 3 girls
(yes, eloise had taken off ALL her clothes)
this girl LOVED the trampoline...
she was a natural!
I see gymnastics in our future!
Look! Mid Flip!
You go girl!
swimming away
Claire obviously does a MUCH better job at "cheesin"
as they were walking up Claire said, "wait for me, Eloise..ok?"
I LOVED hearing them talk to each other.
finally warming up to "Uncle Graham" and giving him a high five
and a hug!!
I love this picture...
the kids got out Bingo...and were honestly trying to play it with two, 2 year olds..
Eloise definitely looks annoyed in this picture...
like they weren't calling out her letter and number or something...
like she really knows!! :)
seriously? This is the BINGO crew...too precious
and after a great dinner...we had to have a sweet treat...
the girls LOVED it!!

look at this one...she LOVED the treat...
LOOK at those TEETH!!
I had a lady tell me the other day she had some chompers on her...
who cares...she's still beautiful!!
and then it was time for our goodbyes...
which I hated..because it was too quick.
Love my big sis..and my littlest love, LOVES her too!
Uncle Walt thought Claire was the sweetest thing he's ever met.
sweet baby Claire, giving miss Emerson some kisses
best friends for ever and ever.
and the goodbyes were sad.
I hated it...
the trip was too short.
So...how do we cheer up a little girl that was saying the whole time in the car that she missed cousin claire?
Stop by Bush's chicken and have a picnic on Baylor's campus, of course!!
That makes everything better!!
this one loved her first taste of friend okra..
my kind of girl, I tell ya.
Eloise looking at the Baylor bear with a new friend.
Daddy telling Eloise all of his college stories..
He was telling her that it would make him the happiest daddy in the world if his girls went to Baylor one day.
and I just had to share that this little love is now facing forward!
We JUST hit the 20 pound mark...so she can finally have a big girl car seat..and it took a while, but she now LOVES it!!
what a great weekend!!
Psalm 68:3
"But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful."

These are so PRECIOUS! I wish I had been there when "the cousins" got together. I know they all had so much fun! (look how much little "e" has grown!) That little one will be WALKING SOON!
